Award-winning actress Elizabeth Olsen and esteemed musician Robbie Arnett have created a fresh approach to wellness in a new series that shows children ways to manage anxiety. Meet Hattie Harmony, Worry Detective.
As you know, Elizabeth is currently promoting Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and while speaking with The Independent she spoke about a specific WandaVision fan theory that she wanted Marvel bosses to make it canon. You can read the full article below!
Elizabeth Olsen has said that a WandaVision fan theory impressed her so much she wanted Marvel bosses to make it canon.
The actor played her Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character, Wanda Maximoff, alongside Paul Bettany in the TV show, which was reeleased on Disney Plus in January 2021.
Across its nine episodes, the series delivered twists and turns that kept viewers guessing and intensely theorising about what would happen.
In a new interview with The Independent, Olsen said she followed along with these theories online, and revealed there was one she wishes Marvel bosses could have retroactively tweaked the show to include.
“I love fan theories ‘cause I always think they’re very clever,” she said. When asked if there was a particular one she enjoyed, Olsen stated: “There are usually ones where I’m like, ‘S***, we should have done that!”
Olsen, who stars in the Doctor Strange sequel, then shared one such WandaVision theory, saying that she enjoyed it so much, she thought it “could have been cool” to go back and make it a part of the series.
“There was one where they thought we were bringing in the Multiverse with the Pietro character, with Evan [Peters],” she said. “The sad thing is, when we were doing WandaVision before Covid, that was not part of the docket yet, and then it kind of overlapped when we finished the show. So we could have actually gone back and fixed or adjusted that.”
She added: “I thought that could have been cool to make Pietro a part of the Multiverse.”
The Multiverse will be explored in Olsen’s new film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which she stars in alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. The film is released in the UK on 5 May and in the US on 6 May.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reveals in this exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette that the plan for the Doctor Strange sequel was always to explore “the mind-bending, frightening side of the multiverse.” Director Sam Raimi and stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen also discuss the making of the MCU film.

We’re less than two months away from Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, and that means soon enough we’ll be having daily doses of Elizabeth (as she’ll be promoting the film). In the meantime, Doctor Strange has scored their first magazine cover – for the May issue of Empire UK! In the issue, which you’ll be able to find by clicking on the link below, we get to learn a bit more about the movie and Wanda. Speaking of Wanda, the publication released last week an article on her powers, that you can read below.
If you want to start an argument in a comic book shop, kick off a discussion about who’s more powerful than who in a superhero smackdown. Is Hulk stronger than The Thing? Could Shang-Chi beat up Captain America? And could Ant-Man really have ruptured Thanos from the inside? As we prepare for the release of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, there are plenty of discussions to be had about who’s the strongest magic user in the MCU – sure, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is on his way to become the Sorcerer Supreme (as we learned in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Wong holds that title for now), but Wanda Maximoff almost single-handedly ended Thanos in Endgame, and is about to become even more powered-up having embraced her inner Scarlet Witch in WandaVision.
With Elizabeth Olsen’s sorceress about to play a major role in Multiverse Of Madness, we’ll be seeing an ever greater display of her powers – and by the sounds of things, we might get answers on whether she’s really more powerful than Strange. “I don’t know who’s more powerful than Wanda,” says Multiverse Of Madness producer Richie Palmer. “Meeting the Wanda Maximoff at the end of Endgame would have been a lot for Strange. Who comes out on top as the most powerful being in the universe? Maybe we find out at the end of the movie.”
As Palmer hints there, the paths of Strange and Maximoff have barely crossed in the MCU so far – save for the battle in Endgame, and both attending Tony Stark’s funeral. But for each of them, Multiverse Of Madness should provide some serious personal challenges – particularly since Wanda gained possession of the Darkhold in the final scenes of WandaVision. “Madness has many different definitions,” says Palmer. “It’s maddening for Doctor Strange to have to watch the love of his life marry someone else. And it’s maddening for Wanda to have been told, ‘There’s a book, and there’s a chapter about you in that book you should read, and secrets you don’t know about yourself.’” For Olsen, the film finally offered her a chance to share proper scenes with Cumberbatch for the first time. “I really was excited to do dialogue with him,” she says. “I really enjoyed our constant conversation, of analysis and trying to understand where both characters are coming from.” Let the battle begin.

Elizabeth made her debut as Executive Producer on Facebook Watch's television series Sorry For Your Loss, where she also starred in alongside Kelly Marie Tran, Jovan Adepo, Mamoudou Athie, and Janet McTeer. Created by Kit Steinkellner, it follows a young widow and her family as they struggle to cope with the unexpected death of her husband. The series ran for two seasons (2018-2019).
My favorite part about filming anything is being a part of a crew. It makes me feel so satisfied every day and go to work and get your hands dirty and be creative with these people. And it made me feel so responsible for them. There are so many challenges with the speed of it and the unknown of it, and there are so many times you have to just say, ‘This is in my control and this is not in my control,'” she says. “It was the best learning experience.”
Elizabeth first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in Captain America: The Winter Soldier's post-credits scene, in 2014. Since then, she's reprised her role in four movies: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Wanda's past is still a mystery, hasn't been fully explored in the Avengers films, but as reported, it will be revealed in Disney+'s web television series WandaVision. Aside from the television series, Wanda is also confirmed to appear in the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Elizabeth on Wanda's power:
"She is notorious for having really bad things happen to her. She’s the ultimate survivor… Her power, I think, comes from her huge amount of empathy as well, and her ability to feel and care, and love."
Elizabeth x Bobbi Brown
Elizabeth joined Bobbi Brown in March 2019 as an ambassador, alongside actresses NiNi and Yara Shahidi. The trio are helping Bobbi Brown launch its brand-new Confidence Beauty campaign, featuring its 'Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation' and 'Intensive Skin Serum Foundation' collections.
"It's incredible to be part of a brand that has been so consistent and true to its identity in an industry that's so inconsistent".
